The proposed converter realizes a one-stage boost function, improves boost capabilities, and reduces component voltages. Its voltage gain and turn ratio of the proposed converter have inversely proportional relations, which leads that the proposed converter can use the lower turn ratio to produce higher voltage gain. In addition, being different from other impedance source inverters, the dc-link voltage of the proposed VDRCL-ISI will not suddenly produce the drop when the inductor current is discontinuous. The proposed VDRCL-ISI nearly does not have the limitation of inductor parameters, which broadens its application scope to a great degree. Circuit analysis, theoretical calculations, parameter design, efficiency analysis, and performance advantages are given out.
