Abstract

A Bi-2212 cable-in-conduit conductor is manufactured by winding, heat treating, and insulating the superconducting conductors. To verify the performance of alumina-silicate fiber used as insulating fiber in the Bi-2212 cable-in-conduit conductor, mock-ups of 5 × 5 array with alumina-silicate fiber and glass fiber were manufactured.
