Abstract

Chiral particles have attracted considerable attention due to their distinctive interactions with light, which enable a variety of cutting-edge applications. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of the optical forces acting on chiral particles, categorizing them into gradient force, radiation pressure, optical lateral force, pulling force, and optical force on coupled chiral particles. We thoroughly overview the fundamental physical mechanisms underlying these forces, supported by theoretical models and experimental evidence.
