Abstract

BN-embedded anthracenes with chiral 3,7-dimethyloctyl side chains (namely (S,S)- and (R,R)-DPBNA) have been synthesized as novel visible-blind ultraviolet-absorbing chiral materials for ultraviolet circularly polarized light (CPL) detection.
