In particular, in atopic dermatitis and hidradenitis suppurativa, significant changes in skin dysbiosis have been associated with local aberrant host immune changes. Abstract

Several microbiome studies have recently demonstrated microbial dysbiosis in various chronic inflammatory skin diseases, and it is considered an important role in the pathogenesis.
