The aim of this review is to show the current evidence on the use of echocardiographic aortic flow assessment by left ventricular outflow tract - velocity time integral.</p>\n </section>\n \n <section>\n \n <h3> Methods</h3>\n \n <p>Publications relevant to the discussion of echocardiographic aortic flow assessment by left ventricular outflow tract - velocity time integral and cardiogenic shock, were retrieved from PubMed®.</p>\n </section>\n \n <section>\n \n <h3> Results</h3>\n \n <p>Left ventricular outflow tract - velocity time integral is an easily sampled and reproducible parameter that has already been shown to have prognostic value in various cardiovascular pathologies, including myocardial infarction and heart failure. Abstract
Purpose
