Abstract

Over the past two decades, acridinediones have attracted considerable attention in organic and medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, and materials science. The present review covers recent literature on the synthesis of acridine-1,8-dione derivatives, including cyclocondensation and multicomponent reactions.
