Abstract

Plants are the rich source of bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical production and are widely used in traditional medicine around the world. The use of phytopreparations from medicinal plants for the treatment and prevention of diseases has been a growing trend in recent years due to the combination of therapeutic activity and relative safety of many medicinal products. Zygophyllum fabago L. is one of the plant species with potential medicinal properties. The distribution of the medicinal plant Zygophyllum fabago L., botanical characteristics, ecological and phytocoenosis features, as well as chemical composition are considered in the scientific research work.
