Employing a systematic literature review and content analysis, the research scrutinizes peer-reviewed articles, industry reports, and regulatory publications from 2014 to 2024. The methodology focuses on identifying prevalent cybersecurity vulnerabilities within GI, the evolution of protective practices, the impact of regulatory frameworks, and the strategic implications for diverse stakeholders. Key findings reveal a complex landscape where the integration of digital technologies in GI introduces both innovative solutions and new vulnerabilities. The study highlights the pivotal role of international standards and regulatory bodies in shaping cybersecurity strategies, underscoring the necessity for a holistic approach that encompasses technological, regulatory, and human factors. Strategic recommendations advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration, enhanced regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement to fortify the cybersecurity of GI. The research underscores the imperative of embedding cybersecurity into the fabric of GI planning and management. It calls for future research to explore predictive models and proactive measures, ensuring the resilience and sustainability of green infrastructure in an increasingly digitalized urban environment.
