The reactions obtained two diastereomers and the results were not influenced by the kinds of glycals. Abstract
Herin is reported a blue light-promoted (Ir[dF(CF3)ppy]2(dtbpy))PF6 catalyzed method that synthesizes the 2-amino sugar analogues from glycals, N-aminopyridinium salts and alcohol. The reactions obtained two diastereomers and the results were not influenced by the kinds of glycals. The advantage of this method is that not only different nitrogen-containing functional groups can be introduced at the C-2 position of the glycals, but also different oxygen-containing functional groups can be attached at C-1 by using methanol, tert-butanol, and water in the reaction.
