Additionally, the production of cytokines is also suppressed by the acupuncture. At the molecular level, the level of miR-21-3p was up-regulated, while the level of REST was down-regulated by the acupuncture. The changes in miR-REST/21-3p contributed to the inhibition of PDCD4.
