Clarification conceptuelle de l’approche des environnements capacitants : un atout pour le développement professionnel et le processus de prise de décision de l’action pour les paramédicaux

Abstract

La complexité des organisations hospitalières liée aux nouveaux besoins de santé et au contexte sanitaire actuel peut impacter le pouvoir d’agir et la prise de décision des soignants. L’approche des environnements capacitants nous semble être une piste de réflexion intéressante pour les directions qui souhaitent favoriser de nouvelles actions en direction du développement professionnel de soignants. Dans cet article, nous proposons une clarification conceptuelle de cette approche où le processus de capabilités, grâce aux facteurs de conversion et de choix, facilite le passage de la capacité au pouvoir d’agir. Elle est complétée par une infographie de synthèse qui détaille, de manière didactique et pédagogique, en six points, ce processus de développement professionnel. L’ensemble de cette production, à travers un éclairage écosystémique, permet de mettre en lumière, pour les professionnels des établissements de santé et les directions, l’intérêt de cette approche dans le processus de prise de décision de l’action.

The complexity of hospital organisations linked to new health needs and the current health context can have an impact on the power to act and decision-making of paramedics. The enabling environment approach seems to us to be an interesting line of thought for managers who wish to encourage new actions in the direction of the professional development of healthcare workers. In this article, we propose a conceptual clarification of this approach in which the process of capability, thanks to the factors of conversion and choice, facilitates the passage from the ability to act to the power to act. It is completed by a summary infographic which details this professional development process in a didactic and pedagogical manner, in six points. The whole of this production, through an ecosystemic perspective, highlights, for health care professionals and management, the value of this approach in the decision-making process of the action.
