Abstract

Rifaximin, a derivative of rifamycin, has emerged as a promising therapeutic tool in gastroenterology. This review explores rifaximin's intricate molecular structure and pharmacokinetic properties, highlighting its minimal systemic absorption and targeted action within the gut.
