Abstract
Cr (VI) receives a lot of attention due to its toxicity and carcinogenicity. In this work, chlorella powder was used as a biochar source and combined with Cu-BTC to produce the Cu-BTC@BC composite material through a one-step solvothermal method. We found the optimal combination of removal efficiency and adsorption capacity at pH of 2, 25 °C and 0.5 g of Cu-BTC@BC at 100 mg/L. These results show that the Cu-BTC@BC has good Cr (VI) adsorption capacity and can be applied to the treatment of Cr (VI) in acidic wastewater.
