However, there is ongoing controversy over the best treatment approach in these cases: whether to opt for coronary artery bypass grafting or percutaneous coronary intervention. Current recommendations from the latest 2018 clinical practice guidelines are based on studies from the past decade, and since then, technological advancements in percutaneous coronary intervention have achieved significant improvements, offering a better clinical prognosis today.
