People’s fates in the novel “In Whose Hands Is the Axe?” and the story “The Wound” by Ayaz Gilyazov

Abstract

The article is a kind of a book review of translations of Ayaz Gilyazov’s works “In Whose Hands is the Axe?” In the article, the author shares impressions of her personal meetings with the writer. The work evaluates the contribution of translators Nail Ishmukhametov and Albina Nurislamova in promoting the novel “In Whose Hands is the Axe?” and the story “The Wound.”
