Abstract
Interconnecting a microgrid (MG) or a distribution energy resource (DER) project, either in the form of a grid-connected, grid-following operation-only mode, or as a unit with islanding model and grid-forming capability, can cause various challenges and violations in a power system distribution or transmission network.
