Utilizing a systematic literature review methodology, the study identifies and analyses thirteen major challenges and ten mitigation strategies. Key challenges, reviewed using the people, process, and technology framework are found to include productivity loss, increased production costs, decreased investment, and labor, income loses. The broader implications of these challenges on economic growth are profound, as businesses encounter obstacles in expanding operations, attracting investments, and fostering overall productivity and development. While on the other hand, mitigation strategies encompass self-generation, renewable energy use, and comprehensive risk management plans. Electricity shortages pose significant challenges for enterprises, significantly impacting productivity, efficiency, technological advancement and economic growth.
