Abstract Schools are charged with the Education of society and the legal system provides the rules under which it takes place. When changes in Education are proposed, there is strong likelihood that laws will need to be altered. But the interaction between Education and laws is elusive, full of perplexities and disappointments. The purpose of this essay is to explore the intricacies of this elusive relationship.
