Abstract

The electric vehicle (EV) industry is witnessing unprecedented growth, driven by the global shift towards sustainable transportation. Laser welding has emerged as an important technology in this sector, offering a welcome way of reducing production costs and expanding the options in manufacturing new batteries and e-drive technology. While laser sources have rapidly evolved, introducing power levels of 24 kW and beyond, the efficient application of such high laser power in welding processes remains a challenge.
