Lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum diagnosis by magnetic resonance imaging

Abstract

A surgically proved case of lipomatous hypertrophy of the interatrial septum is demonstrated on magnetic resonance imaging. The intensity on T₁-weighted images and characteristic distribution of the lesion may make the diagnosis possible without surgical intervention.
