Abstract

The main control modes of the charger of a capacitive energy storage (CES) based on a half-bridge transistor converter with dosage capacitors are considered: with a constant and variable operating frequency of the converter during the CES charging cycle. It is shown that, with the help of mathematical simulation, the optimum law for changing the operating frequency of the converter during CES charging can be found, ensuring the operation of the charger at a constant specified maximum temperature of the power transistor crystals during the charging process. A CES combined charging mode with a constant operating frequency of the converter, which ensures a minimum temperature of the power transistor crystals, is proposed and justified.
