Soil total nitrogen decreased with crop duration. At harvest soil total nitrogen was 2606 kg ha-1, 2693 kg ha-1 and 1931 kg ha-1 in paddy straw burning, paddy straw incorporation without phosphorus, paddy straw incorporation with phosphorus respectively. Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2020-21, at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Polasa, Jagtial, PJTSAU to study the effect of paddy straw burning and incorporation on soil organic carbon, total carbon and nitrogen and soil C:N ratio.
