Based on the whole life cycle theory, from the perspective of line asset acquisition, this paper put into use to the decommissioning of the whole process of cost perspective and analyzed the line project construction to decommissioning and scrapping of the whole process of the cost. Through the calculation of the whole life cycle of the smallest annual cost, to determine the line economic life, we constructed the whole life cycle of the grid line project economic cost framework, put forward the best decommissioning time of the grid line model, that is, the economic life model. A case study was conducted based on a project example from a certain power grid company in China. Abstract
