Mariculture in the Black Sea and its Impact on the Environment According to Satellite Observations

Abstract

Satellite monitoring of film pollution on the surface of the Black Sea was carried out. A new source of them has been discovered – fish cages in the Adler-Kudepsta marine area, which produce biogenic films caused by oil and fat additives to fish feed used in industrial mariculture. It was concluded that despite their biogenic origin, they have a negative impact on local marine ecosystems.
