The author analyzes the effectiveness of international intervention in the settlement of the civil confrontation in the country and its influence on ensuring compliance with international norms and standards. Particular attention is paid to the role of the United States of America and international organizations in assisting in conflict resolution and preventing the country’s disintegration. Cases of unsuccessful sanctions in the context of the Sudanese conflict are analyzed, evaluating their impact on the opposing parties. Highlighting the inefficacy of external economic pressure on Sudan in perpetuating internal conflicts, the article suggests a comprehensive examination of factors influencing the effectiveness of international measures.
