Abstract
This cartoon illustrates temperature monitoring of the normal and inflammatory (fever) sites in the body by the luminescent nanothermometers for disease diagnosis. In this review paper, various nano-thermometers have been summarized for in vitro and in vivo temperature detections, and disease diagnosis and treatments, aiming to push forward the biomedical applications of this interdisciplinary nanotool.
