Abstract

This study investigates the shear behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with web openings. Based on the experimental and numerical data collected, different parameters were analyzed to clarify their influence on the shear capacity strength of the beam. An artificial intelligence (AI) model was proposed to predict the beam’s shear strength. Compared to the experimental data, the AI model is a reliable tool for predicting the shear strength of RC beams with openings.
