Ensino de Ciências e Biologia com Enfoque nas Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis

Abstract

O ensino sobre Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST) figura entre os temas transversais presentes no contexto escolar. Assim, o presente trabalho teve como objetivos a) analisar percepções dos professores de Ciências e Biologia acerca do ensino sobre as Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis e b) identificar as estratégias utilizadas pelos professores no ensino sobre estas doenças. A coleta de dados ocorreu durante o segundo semestre de 2020 e se deu a partir de questionários. As principais dificuldades relatadas pelos professores na abordagem das IST em suas aulas variam desde insegurança do professor até o receio dos pais quanto aos conteúdos relacionados à sexualidade humana que são abordados na escola. Em sala de aula, todos os professores abordam possibilidades de contágio dos adolescentes e prevenção às IST, 81,8% abordam dados estatísticos e tratamento, 72,7% tratam sobre o papel do Estado e da família na prevenção às IST e no combate aos preconceitos, enquanto 18,2% informaram que abordam outros aspectos. Dentre as estratégias pedagógicas utilizadas pelos professores, as mais frequentes foram: aula expositiva (90,9%), debates sobre o tema (81,8%), seminários (68,2%) e utilização de vídeos sobre a temática (63,6%). O uso de estratégias pedagógicas que colocam o estudante no centro do processo de ensino aprendizagem possuem a capacidade e serem mais efetivas, visto que envolvem o aluno diretamente na construção do conhecimento. AbstractTeaching about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) is among the transversal themes present in the school context. Thus, the present work aimed to a) analyze the perceptions of Science and Biology teachers about teaching about Sexually Transmitted Infections and b) identify the pedagogical strategies used by teachers in teaching about these deseases. Data collection occurred during the second half of 2020 and was based on questionnaires. The main difficulties reported by teachers in approaching STIs in their classes vary from the teacher's insecurity to receiving the parents regarding the contents related to human sexuality that are worked on at school.
