Abstract

: Exercise and Interleukin-6 . A Skeletal muscles not only play a role in movement, but are also known as secretory organs that can produce many cytokines. This is the basic concept of how skeletal muscle can communicate with other organs such as adipose tissue, liver and pancreas, bones and brain. IL-6 is a cytokine that plays an important role in the regulation of body metabolism. IL-6 which is produced during exercise has an anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore IL-6 is one of the mechanisms by which exercise can prevent various diseases.
