Abstract

Cloud computing has gained popularity for its cost-effectiveness. Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) are not new technologies, but rather new ways of providing computing services over the internet based on previous concepts. For this reason, many organizations use cloud computing platforms for their computing needs. Cloud computing, however, raises some concerns for these organizations. Several studies have been done on security issues with cloud computing, but most of them focus on formal security issues. Informal security issues have not been seriously studied in the existing research, to our knowledge. Through this study, we investigate and model informal security requirements for cloud applications.
