The aim of this research was to determine the results of phytochemical screening and the antibacterial activity of 96% ethanol extract of Ramania leaves (Bouea macrophylla Griffith) against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The research method uses the disc method with 4 series of 5% concentration; 10%; 15% and 20%, positive control chloramphenicol 30μg/disc, and negative control DMSO 0.1%. The results of this study showed that the 96% ethanol extract of Ramania leaves (Bouea macrophylla Griffith) was positive for containing alkoloids, flavonoids, steroids, saponins and tannins using the maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent and had an extract yield of 8.54%. Antibacterial activity test at concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% with results and inhibition zone categories of 1,925 mm (weak), 3,355 mm (weak), and 4,737 mm (weak) and 5,775 mm (medium) respectively.
