The population of the study consisted of all principals in private schools in the university district totaling (138). A simple random sample of (105) principals was selected. The researcher used the descriptive correlational methodology, and used two tools composed of a questionnaire to measure the level of Emotional intelligence and the other is to measure the degree of Leadership practices. The results showed that the level of emotional intelligence and the degree of leadership practices were high; moreover, there was a positive relationship between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and leadership practices of the principals of private schools in the university district from their point of view.
