Value-semantic orientations of the personality of the potential scientific and engineering elite

Abstract

Based on a longitudinal study, the article analyzes the dynamics of the social, academic and professional components of university adjustment of medical students studying under employer-sponsored contract from the first to the third, year of study. It is stated that the level of social adjustment at a university is most reduced in the first year, which is the initial stage of entering the university environment. A decrease of the level of academic component of university adjustment was revealed in the second year of study. A statistically significant positive shift of the level of the professional component of university adjustment was noted among students studying under employer-sponsored contract in the third year of study.
