The active ingredients of herbal medications are also extracted, and alcohol and acetic acid are prepared in accordance with the necessary indications. Consequently, these formulations exhibit favourable therapeutic efficacy, rapid absorption and action, and a longer shelf life in comparison to other Ayurvedic herbal remedies. Abstract

Since Ayurveda has been practiced for thousands of years, one of the best dosage forms is Sandhana kalpana, or biologically fermented formulations. Specific prearranged conditions are met in order to prepare these medications, resulting in fermentation.
