A pain in the grass–The trials and tribulations of Sporobolus propagation

Abstract

Initial difficulties in germinating the prairie dropseed grass Sporobolus heterolepis (A. Gray) A. Gray and the ways in which they were it was overcome are described. The resulting seedlings are grown in deep plugs before being planted out in the developing prairie.
