Its current-mode design simplifies the process, employing minimal active and grounded passive elements, making it appropriate for low-voltage/low-power applications. The filter utilizes fifth-order Oustaloup approximation and Foster type-I RC networks for fractional-order capacitors, providing enhanced control over the transition slope.
