Abstract

The generic name Scaphium Jordan, 1964 (Podocopida; Bythocytheridae) is a junior homonym of the beetle genus name Scaphium Kirby, 1837 (Coleoptera; Staphylinidae) and therefore a replacement name Rudolfestatscaphium nom. nov. is proposed here by the author.
