Laboratory investigations revealed elevated inflammatory markers and positive Echinococcus serology. Imaging studies confirmed a large splenic cyst, prompting treatment with Albendazole and a surgical splenectomy. This case underscores the importance of considering splenic hydatid cysts in the differential diagnosis of patients with splenomegaly associated with abdominal symptoms.
