Abstract

Anxiety is an emotion that has accompanied humanity throughout its history; It has been the engine of change and survival, but when it appears disproportionately or in the face of wrong stimuli, it is when we are facing an anxiety disorder.

Currently, anxiety disorders are a real health problem for all health systems due to their high prevalence in the population and since the start of the COVID pandemic this situation has not improved at all.

In this article we examine the prevalence data to date, the variability that they present and their impact in the context of primary care.
