There is a lack of objective markers that accurately and reliably reflect the therapeutic benefits of AIT. A biomarker indicating patients that would benefit most from AIT would be invaluable. Eosinophilic inflammation is a cardinal feature of many allergic diseases. Biomarkers that accurately reflect this inflammation are needed to better diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with allergic disorders.
