Abstract
This is the first record of Eulimnadia michaeli, identified from the vernal pools of Karachi, Pakistan, based on the morphological and meristic characteristics. E.michaeli have been found to inhabit seasonal, temporary water pools formed after post monsoon rainfall. The species was previously recorded from tropical Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The current study confirmed the presence of E. michaeli in the vernal pools of Karachi, Pakistan. The morphometry of the length and height of carapace of E. michaeli showed an isometric relationship The variable size of polygons was evident when external morphology of eggs was observed through Scanning Electron Microscope, along with other taxonomic characters of the body.
