Abstract

A manganese(II) coordination polymer [Mn(tbip)(DMI)] n (1), (tbipH2 = 5-(tert-butyl)isophthalic acid, DMI = 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone), has been synthesized under “urea-thermal conditions” (i.e. in an excess of urea). Its structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and further characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra.
