Despite substantial research, the precise mechanisms governing the formation of these cholesterol-rich plaques remain partially elucidated. This study delves into the complex interplay of interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptors, shedding light on their pivotal role in orchestrating cholesterol homeostasis in human macrophages.
