Clinical testing demonstrated that the imprint method is a rapid and feasible technique that identified more unique bacterial species than Eswab with a good agreement between methods but that Imprint was better at detecting important pathogens such as <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i> and <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i>.
