Special economic zones of Kazakhstan as a tool to stimulate economic growth

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the role of special economic zones (SEZ) in Kazakhstan as an effective tool for stimulating economic growth. The article analyzes the experience of functioning of special economic zones in Kazakhstan, reveals their main characteristics and advantages. The main attention is paid to the economic and social effects achieved through the creation and development of such zones. The impact of SEZs on industrial development, innovation activity, unemployment reduction and promotion of technological progress in the country is considered.
