Acute nicotine replacement therapy-related toxicity: A fallout of over-the-counter drug availability!

Abstract

Acute nicotine replacement associated toxicity is not reported often. India has a large number of smokers, who try over the counter nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) which is not effective most of the times. This unique case highlights a unique adverse effect of NRT where a young patient presented with symptoms of NRT associated nicotine toxicity.
