LOS ÚLTIMOS GRADOS DEL ESCOCISMO Y LA REALIZACIÓN DESCENDENTE. Reflexiones sobre el capítulo 45 de al-Futūḥāt almakkiyya y la masonería Escocista

Abstract

Resumen: Edición y traducción anotada de Los últimos grados del Escocismo y la realización descendente de Michel Vâlsan, influyente figura en los estudios sobre Ibn 'Arabī en el siglo XX y vinculado a René Guénon, un destacado filósofo y representante de la escuela perennialista. Este texto, publicado en respuesta a Jean Reyor en 1953 en la revista Études Traditionnelles después de la muerte de Guénon, es interesante por dos razones. En primer lugar, continúa el debate sobre la "realización descendente" propuesto por Guénon y ofrece una traducción del capítulo 45 de al-Futūḥāt al-makkiyya de Ibn 'Arabī. En segundo lugar, el texto aborda el tema de la masonería y su relación con la organización iniciática occidental por excelencia. Abstract: Edition and annotated translation of The Last Degrees of [masonic] Scottism and the Descending Realisation by Michel Vâlsan, an influential figure in Ibn 'Arabī studies in the 20th century and linked to René Guénon, a leading philosopher and representative of the Perennialist school. This text, published in response to Jean Reyor in 1953 in the journal Études Traditionnelles after Guénon's death, is interesting for two reasons. First, it continues the discussion of "descending realization" proposed by Guénon and offers a translation of chapter 45 of Ibn 'Arabī's al-Futūḥāt al-makkiyya. Secondly, the text deals with the subject of Freemasonry and its relation to the quintessential Western initiatory organisation.
