Abstract
In Agamemnon, in contrast to other versions of the myth, Aeschylus represents the crime inside the palace and gives the central role to Clytemnestra, who not only kills her husband and then Cassandra, but is also in charge of recounting the murder to the audience. This paper will focus on how the responsibility of the murderess is presented in the tragedy at the discursive level and how it is accompanied by the staging; its study will allow me to develop a hypothesis regarding the motive of the crime.
