Abstract

The Canadian government began implementing a Tech Talent Strategy in July 2023 that eases immigration restrictions to attract foreign entrepreneurs and skilled workers. The initiative, greeted with overwhelming demand on its launch, responds to a shortage of tech skills in the domestic workforce and targets H-1B visa holders in the United States.
